Bolly Beat Dancers + Bolly Beat Dance School


Bolly Beat Dancers is the oldest currently performing Indian dance group in Finland, formed in 2008. The group consist of Finnish and Indian dancers. The show group is specialized in Bollywood and Bhangra dance performances, and has been performing in several cultural events, private parties and mutual happenings.

Bolly Beat Dance School is open for everyone who wants to learn to dance to the Indian beats. Bolly Beat Dance School offers courses in Bollywood & Bhangra and Bharatanatyam. The courses are held in Helsinki.

Bollywood Frost Entertainments


Bollywood Frost Entertainments is a Finnish cultural entertainment company that brings Bollywood movies to Finland and organizes Indian events.

Bollywood Frost made it's biggest breakthrough when bringing the Bollywood hit movie, Don 2 - starring Bollywood-hunk Shahrukh Khan - to Finland's audience. This was the first time when a Bollywood movie was released straight in Finland. The company is working now on organizing Indian events and spreading knowledge about Indian culture and Indian happenings in Finland for Finnish people to explore. It is also known for hosting hot parties with good Indian music. 

Bollywood Frost Entertainmets consists of group of four people which includes Sivakumar Karuppusamy together with Reetta Flink (Ek Kahani's director) and Ilona Kolachana.

These also are the same people who organized the first Bollywood flashmob in all of Finland. It took place in the shopping center Kamppi in January as a celebration and promotion of Indian culture. It was through that event that Finnish and Indians joined forces and decided to continue to work together. Many of the dancers and actors of our "Ek Kahani" are persons who met during and took part in the flashmob event.

Introducing: Cast & Crew

Reetta Flink - The director of the play
Reetta Flink has been a movie buff since her childhood, and is nowadays called “The Messenger of Bollywood” thanks for her hard work to make Bollywood known around Finland. 
 In 2006, she graduated as an editor from The Tampere Polytechnic School of Art and Media. During her studies, she directed short films. Reetta worked as an internship in Mumbai, India, between 2005-2006, and made her final thesis about the musical scenes of Bollywood movies.
After graduation she has worked five years for TV-shows.
Reetta started Bollywood dancing in 2005. Her passions are movies and movie literature. Reetta's future dream is to direct musicals. 
Reetta has worked together with Ilona Kolachana and Sivakumar Karuppusamy for Bollywood Frost Entertaiment, bringing Bollywood movies to Finland.
She was also one of the organizers of the first Bollywood Flash Mob in Finland.

  Ilona Kolachana
Ilona Kolachana has been dancing actively since the age of 18. She has been participating in several musical theater productions even before that and has danced oriental dance for many years. Since last year, she is part of the Bolly Beat Dancers dance group. She studies Arabic language and Islamic studies at the University of Helsinki.
Ilona has worked together with Reetta Flink and Sivakumar Karuppusamy for BollywoodFrost Entertaiment, notably during their flash mob event in January 2012.
Ilona will be playing the female lead of our play "Ek Kahani". She has also been one of the choreographers for the dance sequences of the play.

Sudhindra B.S.
Sudhi born as Sudhindra Bangalore Seetharam, hails from pub city Bangalore (India). He has been a popular actor in Rangantharanga theater club and has played major characters in more than 10 theater shows. He was considered to be a cultural icon during his graduation day in his college. He has bagged several awards for acting shows and also was awarded National award in 1993 Anveshan Fest for Mono Acting.
He also has directed plays in the inter university competitions, compered shows, and also has been involved in narrating live commentary in Chandana, prasarabharthi national TV channels in India. We are now proud to let you know that Sudhi is playing the male lead of "Ek Kahani". 

Arti Sudhindra
Although Arti Sudhindra was born in Karnataka, South India, her roots are in Rajasthan - the land of colors! Dancing became her passion ever since she was a child, and over the years, she has been into dancing, choreographing, performing, and acting. She also hosted a TV show on the local channels in a few cities of South India. 
Arti came to Finland in 2008. She was thrilled to see the Bollywood -love people have in here, and so she decided to contribute to it. Having great respect for art, Arti strongly believes that dance is not only an art but also acts as a therapy; it is a great way of expression whether you are happy or sad, excited or just free... Arti sends her greetings: "Everyone is a dancer; you just have to find your kind of music to wake up that dancer in you!" Besides dancing, Arti tells us she is crazy about snow! 
Currently the lovely Arti Sudhindra works as a freelancer dance teacher, choreographer and performer. She will be playing the role of the mother in "Ek Kahani".
 Sivakumar Karuppusamy
Siva is a student and an entrepreneur who's been living in Finland for past 7 years. He loves backpacking, exploring different cultures and countries.
Siva says to be willing to change the world for good with his dream ideas. His passions are street art and theater.
Siva has worked together with Reetta Flink and Ilona Kolachana for BollywoodFrost Entertaiment. 
He is acting as the energic and funny Pappu in our play.

Virpi Still
Virpi has been involved with lots of sports such as basketball and street dancing, and has been dancing Bollywood dances since 2006. She also has lot of experience working with children, and is teaching the children's Bollywood course for Bolly Beat Dance School. The joyful and encouraging Virpi is also dancing with the show group Bolly Beat Dancers. She will be playing the role of Reetta, a friendly young woman, in "Ek Kahani".

Sari Breilin
Sari is the head of Bolly Beat Dancers and dances with the group as well. Sari is also the executive director, coordinator and one of the teachers of the dance school.
Almost through her entire life Sari has become familiar with several dance styles both western and eastern. She has been dancing Indian dances, including bharatanatyam, kathak, bhangra and bollywood, since the year 2001 and has been teaching them since 2005.
As the head of Bolly Beat, Sari is also producing the play. 

Manmeet Singh
Manmeet Singh is a charismatic and energetic young man, who participated in the 2007 Talent Finland -show and made it all the way to the finals. Since that day he has been performing in several happenings and events. We are happy that he is going to make a special apparence in our "Ek Kahani".

Nuori intialainen mies, Amit, päätyy Suomeen pomonsa lähettämänä. Sopeutumisessa häntä auttaa kämppis Pappu ja suomalainen Elisa. Lopulta Amit löytää itsensä tilanteesta, jossa hänen on tehtävä valinta; seuratako sydäntä vai perinteitä.

Love Story based on a true story - A Bollywood dance show.
After the show, there will be a Bollywood Disco with DJ Space Witch Pop.

Amit, an young Indian man is sent to Finland by his boss. While settling down he gets help from his roommate Pappu and a Finnish girl Elisa. Eventually Amit ends up in a situation where he has to make a difficult choice between traditions and love.
